Ingredients
1 cup rice 4 cups water
1/2 cup peas, boiled 1 tbs shreded coconut 2 tbs coriander leaves, chopped 1 lime or lemon juice Salt to taste
For tempering 2 green chillies chopped 1/4 tsp mustard seeds 6 curry leaves 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 15 cashew nuts 1 tbs gram dal (channa) 1 tbs black gram dal (urad) 3 tbs oil
Preparations
- Prepare rice by method 2. - Heat oil in a saucepan over a medium heat. - Add seasoning ingredients and let them sizzle for a few seconds. - Fry for 2 mins. Add rice, peas, coconut, coriander, lime juice and salt. - Mix well and serve with yoghurt.
